Self care is an important regiment in a mother's life. This helps our mental state and physical state stay healthy. We cannot forget about ourselves at the end of the day. Yes, it is truly hard when you have children running around, going in cabinets, pulling things down or getting in trouble some how. The demand of mother is hard at times. All mothers out there can understand me this way.
Then we have moments where we look in the mirror and think, "What happened?" Motherhood. As we start our mornings we need to get out of bed thinking, "Today is going to be an amazing day." Working moms and stay at home moms we did to get dressed! Even when your home, you will feel a sense of look at me I'm in comfy clothes or dress it up. It is totally your call but just get yourself dressed.
Your hair doesn't have to be amazing but brush it out and if you feel the urge to style it then go for it! This will make you feel better during the day mentally. I usually do the whole mom bun thing but occasionally when I have time I will straighten my hair. And it feels good to look like me again!
So your up, showered (if you want too or have time), brush teeth, deodorant, dressed, hair done and next makeup (if you choose too).
I know makeup is important to some and others not so much. Makeup to me, makes the whole let's start the day even better! I will be sharing soon my makeup regimen. What I use and how simple it can be to put it on.
Usually this morning routine for me is half done before my child wakes up and during my child being awake. You make it work.. right! Just remember to not forget about you at the end of the day. You want to feel good about yourself in the process of raising your child.
